When it comes to outdoor sports or camping activities, especially in the dark at night, one item you need is a flashlight. In the past, when using a flashlight, it was inconvenient to carry it because a general light bulb and a large battery were required. In particular, even though their smartphones have a flashlight function these days, consumers who frequently do outdoor activities still carry a flashlight separately. Today, I would like to take a look at the first flashlight model ‘Flashlight Fit’. Simply put, it is a product that emphasizes portability. In fact, the front of the box contains the product image along with the brand name. At a glance, you can guess that it is a small flashlight that can be gripped in one hand. Also, on the back of the box, you can check the basic specifications of the product. You can check the size, weight, battery capacity, charging voltage, and a list of product components. When you open the box, urethane foam material is used for the packaging to prevent external impact, and plastic packaging is also applied. Product configuration consists of Flashlight Fit, Lanyard cord, Diffuser, USB charging cable, and product manual.

If you look at the HOTO Flashlight Fit, the color is Metal-gray, and the length is 145mm and the diameter is 30mm. Compared to a smartphone or an auxiliary battery, the size difference is easier to see. It is convenient to carry in a place such as a pocket. It also weighs about 147g, which is lighter than a smartphone.

Looking a little more closely at the design, the part that serves as the hand grip is treated with a flat surface in the form of an engraving to make the grip comfortable. In particular, the embossing design is applied to the button part so that it can be easily detected even in dark places, and an LED indicator is also applied to check the battery status and charging status, which we will check again later. Also, on the lower part opposite to the grip, there is a USB Type-C port connected to the charging cable, along with the basic specifications. When not in use, a cover is also applied to prevent corrosion and dust.

Also, on the back of the flashlight, there is a hole for hanging the supplied lanyard string. And, on the front where the flash is illuminated, you can see that the LED chip is embedded inside. Finally, the USB charging cable is 50cm long and has a USB Type-C to A interface.

Directly, if you try using the HOTO Flashlight Fit, as mentioned earlier, the grip is comfortable to hold in one hand, and you can control the buttons with your thumb. In particular, in the case of a button, it has various functions, and each time it is pressed once, the power can be turned on/off, and when the button is pressed while it is on, brightness control can be performed there is. For reference, the brightness is at least 200m to max. 280lm (lumens), and it can be used for 24 hours at minimum brightness and 3 hours at maximum brightness, and the illumination distance reaches 10m at minimum brightness and 200m at maximum brightness. Also, if you press the button twice in succession, it will flash rapidly in S.O.S mode, and if you press the button twice in succession, you can switch to the slow flashing mode. It can be said that it is convenient because it supports various modes with one button.

Also, the supplied diffuser can be used immediately by inserting it into the front of the light. You can see how wide it is. Also, compared to the flashlight function of a smartphone, it can be seen that the lighting range of the Flashlight Fit flashlight using a diffuser is wider. For reference, Flashlight Fit is also equipped with an IP55 rating for waterproof and dustproof, so it can be used for a certain period of time even in rainy weather.

Finally, the Flashlight Fit flashlight has a built-in 1500mAh battery. As mentioned earlier, the battery status can be checked on the button. Through the LED lighting applied to the button, when the battery is over 60% (Green), when the battery is 30–60% (Orange), and when the battery is below 30% (Red). Also, when charging, it displays red when charging and green when fully charged. For reference, since the charging speed is supported at 5W, it is necessary to check whether the charging adapter supports at least 5W before charging.

As mentioned in the beginning, Flashlight Fit is the first flashlight product from HOTO. It is an LED flashlight that is smaller than a smartphone and lighter in weight, making it ideal for portability. In addition, you can conveniently control various modes such as On/Off, brightness control, and SOS mode with a simple yet luxurious metallic gray color and one button. A diffuser and a lanyard cord are also provided, so there is no need for additional configuration. However, since most charging adapters these days support at least 10~15W, the 5W charging speed is a bit disappointing. Of course, it’s not a big deal because 5W charging adapters are still on the market. In addition, it has a waterproof and dustproof rating as a standard, so if you are a consumer who enjoys outdoor activities or camping, and you have been thinking that you should have at least one LED flashlight, we recommend the HOTO Flashlight Fit flashlight, which is convenient to carry and easy to operate.
